A long, corded lightbulb hanging from the ceiling slowly scries around the perimeter of braided rope circled on the floor. The rope, coiled around itself, repeats the same braided gesture in infinite overlapping loops. The bulb's glow intimately scans the surface of the rope’s binding circle searching for a beginning and an end—a past and a future. Instead, the braid’s rhythmical, swaying shadows cause for a trace in an ever-looping present.
